Final Day! (No. 2)

WHATS UPPP GUYS!!

It’s Jaiden and Ramses here in Jarabacoa as we were the final leaders of the day (Rightfully so).

This morning, we had a slightly later start with a wake-up call of 8:00 AM with breakfast starting at 9:00. This allowed for some well-needed rest after completing our three-day CAP project. After breakfast, at 10:00 AM we took a couple hours to reflect on our time here, doing various activities which displayed our appreciation for one another, and our experiences on the trip. We also reflected on what we learned about ourselves, our global perspectives, Dominican culture, and leadership in general.

After our couple hours of reflection, we had a long 4-hour period of free time. We didn’t have to worry about much today except for our surprise dinner at 7!! As leaders, we made sure everyone dressed up accordingly (As you will see in the photos we all looked extremely beautiful). As 7 arrived we all got ready for… (DRUM ROLLLLLL) PIZZAAAAA!! We all enjoyed it heavily, especially me, Ramses, who had a total of 6 slices followed by a bad stomach after, leading to a lecture. However, that didn’t stop us from having the best photo shoots and an amazing time at the playground outside of the pizza place. We all enjoyed ourselves as much as we can due to the hard work we’ve displayed in the past 2 weeks. We all came back for our final nightly meeting which was quite emotional. As a group, we all know that unfortunately, all chapters must close, but that does not mean that the experiences we have all shared will ever be gone or forgotten. We have all grown as people in such a short span and I know all the parents reading this couldn’t be more excited to hear all the stories from your children.

 Big Love,

 Jaiden and Ramses

P.S. Can’t wait to see you all tomorrow! – Jaidan

P.S. #2 I Miss you Mami, I know you’re excited to see me tomorrow. – Ramses
