Today’s leaders were Natalie, Summer, and Hyomin! For breakfast we had a burrito with rice, beans, eggs, and cheese, along with a choice of tea or coffee. For our mental warm up today we went over the schedule and what we will be doing for CAP. For the CAP (Community Action Project), we helped the Turriabla community, along with ASADA, our partner, to help bring clean water to the area. The new addition of pipes that we added makes it easier for the water to flow. We spent two 3 hour shifts, digging deeper trenches, that the first delegation didn’t complete in order to put larger water pipes. During the CAP, we were split into 3 groups. We climbed a hill and worked in different areas in order to complete the work more efficienty. We listened to music and worked despite the rainy and hot weather. After our first shift, we ate beef and pork fajiatas along with fried plantain, pico de gallo, and with everyones favorite, strawberry mango juice. We returned from the second shift, returned our tools, and had downtime which most of us spent cleaning ourselves from our hardwork. Some people went to the pulperia (deli) to get snacks with one of our leaders, Jones! After our downtime, we got an opportunity to write a letter of apperication to our Global Glimpse supporters! It was a time to reflect on what we experienced throughout the 5 days we were in Costa Rica. After that, we had dinner which was squash soup along with platain, corn chips and pineapple juice. Finally, we had our nightly meeting to share our highlights and pass the torch to our new leaders, Treisy, Emily, and Saramia!

Please continue to support and check on us so we (Glimpsers) can read it the day we are leaders!

Hi mom, dad, and brother I guess. I’m using google translate right now so it’s awkward. I’m doing really well, and I just really miss home. I miss the church people too, which is a little crazy. I’m gonna miss the friends I made here and the food. Thank you for the comments, I really wasn’t expecting to see so many. I love you guys so much and see you soon. – Hyomin
