YELLOOOOO from Shandra and Liana! We started off the day by waking up our fellow glimpsers at 7:30 am with a beautiful ‘Good Morning’ knock on the door with Shandra’s shoe. We headed to breakfast where everyone demolished the pancakes, fruit, and eggs, leaving us with zero waste. Everyone got their backpacks together so we could get on el busito (little bus) to head to our Community Action Project site, Cañada de las Palmas. We found out that we couldn’t help with constructing the community center today because Angelo (the construction guy) couldn’t join us for the day, BUT our wonderful project coordinator, JC, put us to work. We organized the whole C1C group to form a line in order to pass buckets of sand to create a pile at the top of the hill. We had a lot of water, momentum, shift changes, and dance breaks in silence cue Emmanuel and Alex dancing. After a lot of sweating and throwing buckets, we managed to get all the sand up the hill, so we headed back to Dilenia on el busito. We had a filling lunch of rice, beans, chicken, and salad. Once everyone was refreshed, we headed back to our project site to the same process, BUT this time with rocks, and actual music (Big love to JC actually remembering the speaker this time). Once again, we finished the job with enough time to go on a “LITTLE” hike down to the Constanza dam that powers the city. After huffing and puffing, we made it back to the hotel to finish our letters to the Global Glimpse supporters, and get some much-needed quiet SHH time. We had a much-anticipated dinner of pasta with sides of bread and salad. To end the day, we had our nightly meeting where we passed off the leadership torch to Celesthian, Leo, and Aayush, our last set of Glimpser leaders.

Make sure you’re staying hydrated too and also reapplying sunscreen too often can also cause you to burn bcuz of the oils in it or smth so be careful with that.
