Day 9: Last cap day 🏐🎨

Welcome to the last CAP day with JA2C! Today we spent our day completing our project for the final reveal. Our incredible teamwork allowed the group to complete all of our original tasks and more. The three hop scotches with unique designs were finished by our painters, while our bob the builders finished placing the pencil fences and were able to place a new garden fence! We are so proud of our cohort for being able to communicate ideas and make them come into reality. We definitely went above and beyond. 😼 Our cohort was able to celebrate the completion of our project with a shopping spree! (Hope our readers enjoy the souvenirs the cohort put thought into for their gifts.)

Hello vlog readers! My name is Mia and I was one of the leaders of the day. It was such an amazing opportunity that everyone should have the chance to have. One of the most valuable things I learned today was that when people come together they can really make a difference. Even if it seems small, it has a real impact on people’s lives. Our group would have never been able to finish CAP if it wasn’t for the collaboration of the whole group. Something that stood out to me today was how inspiring the organization ‘Plan Yaque’ is, which is the organization we partnered with. Julian represented the organization and he was super inspiring and supportive. He offered my group support in whatever we needed and he inspired me to keep helping communities in the future. Overall, being leader of the day was such an amazing opportunity where I got to practice and develop my leadership skills.😸😸😸(Shout out to my parents for their support)💕

Hi everyone! My name is Denise 🎀 and I had the opportunity to be a leader for a day! I was very nervous at first, but after a while I got used to being in front of a crowd and I was able to lead the groups for our daily activities and meals. I have learned many valuable lessons as leader of the day like how to manage time (even without a clock), how to project my voice, even other smaller things like calling people up to answer questions and making sure everyone was drinking water! I am also extremely grateful that my cohort have a enough energy and strength in order to finish our CAP project. It was a lot of work, but our team was still able to get it done in time. We really hope that the kids that attend the school we worked on are grateful and appreciative. 🫶 In conclusion, being a leader has really impacted me as a person still working on my skills for the future. Thank you for reading!☺️ Also shoutout to Kika And Mami I miss you guys🍧🍻

Hola a todos! It’s Yaneidi, reporting about the day we had today. I had the opportunity to be a leader with Denise and Mia which was super special because we have created an incredible bond with one another. Today we spent it finishing up our projects which was super fun as I had many opportunities to talk to other people in the cohort to share about our likings. While we were getting busy with the finishing touches the rest of the group was able to have a fun volleyball rally! I had the most fun at the thrift shops since it’s one of my favorite passing time. Definitely got some cool find. At first it was difficult to step up as a leader but as the day went on it was incredible to be welcomed as a leader by my peers and supported by my other LODs. The groups vibes were definitely up today!! I’m proud of the hard we have put out. Talking about our trip ending is sad but we have taken valuable lessons from all of this. I will definitely take this experience and apply it to my day to day life. Mucho amor para mi familia y amigos, los amo y los extraño mucho. Estoy emocionada or poster ver los el Lunes! Much love so all, signing out

Will post the photos of the day in the morning due to some difficulties.
