Today our group went to do a cultural exchange at the Santa Rosa Middle School. Our group did our opening ceremony and art projects with the middle schoolers. They also performed a school assembly for us where some of the kids dressed up as bees, butterflies, cars, etc. Then we spent time and had lunch with the kids. We did our closing and left the school with fantastically amazing memories!
Then we took a bus to Finca Florita, a cheese farm. We met our tour guide, Carla, and walked through the whole cheese making process. We saw the cows and some of our fellow Glimpsers got to milk them and make cheese out of the milk! From our tour, we learned what it means to be a more responsible consumer. After that, we had a quick style change and had dinner at Fratelli, an Italian pizzeria. We had pizza like pepperoni and 4-cheese and also got to try chicken pesto pizza! We ended the night with our very last nightly meeting.

What a beautiful way to wrap up such an amazing day; connecting with students, sharing art and laughter, and being welcomed into a school community. Witnessing the cheese-making process from cow to table was a powerful reminder of the land and labor behind the things we often take for granted. Thank you for sharing the joy of exchange, the beauty of slowing down, and the power of presence. You remind us how much there is to learn when we open ourselves to it. πππ«π
