Cap Delivery THE FINALE!!!!!!!!!!

YURRRRRRR!!!!! WHAT’S GOOD Y’ALL! IT’S AAYUSH, CELESTHIAN, AND LEO HERE TO TELL Y’ALL ABOUT WHAT WE DID TODAY!

Okay, let’s chill on the caps for now… We started the day with a hefty bowl of oatmeal, raisins, and bananas that, we surprisingly finished without waste. Following that, we almost immediately hopped in the BUSSSS(t) to transport ourselves to Las Palmas to continue and, eventually, finish our CAP (Community Action Project). We got a lot more work done than we thought we would in the first half of today’s workday, but staying organized and working efficiently helped us get a good chunk of work done! After going back to the BUSSSS(t), we headed back home to Dilenia and had our little 30 minutes of rest before eating lunch. For lunch, everyone enjoyed some paella and surprised us again by leaving 1.5 pounds of waste (surprising considering how much everyone said they enjoyed it…) Then, we headed back to the BUSSSS(t) to finally finish our long, arduous, yet enlightening CAP Delivery Proyecto. The stress of the situation caused things to get a little heated, but we managed to keep our heads cool and work together effectively. We ended up finishing the project (props to EVERYONE for contributing and working hard), said our final goodbyes to the Las Palmas community, and sent them off with the BIGGEST LOVE EVER, voicing out our appreciation for the communities willingness to cooperate and also thanking them for their hospitality for our presence. We got on the BUSSSSS(t) for the final time today and eventually conducted a Self Reflection on the CAP Proyecto. After the self-reflection, we had dinner and ate some burgers (with siracha…on the side). We also drank some Dominican coke; it was fire. We then had our nightly meeting at the end of the day, where we discussed our Quote and Word of the Day before handing the torch to our new LDDs (Leaders of the Day), Katy and Sam. We shared some big love to each other over the hard work we all did. After the meeting, we were all surprised when our PCs (Project Coordinators) Ru and JC presented us with a big fruit salad (It was yummy).

Leo – Ello Mom what is poppin toooday, I have not been homesick ever since the beginning of the trip and that’s because I’ve been the strong man that you raised me to be ever since birth. I went on this trip to prepare myself for the future for any day that I’d be without you. Something that I realized that no matter where I am in the world, I know you are always with me. Also, tell the baby that I love her. see ya soon. with love me Leo.
