Day 13 “CLOSING REFLECTION”

Buenas everyone!
Our trip in Panama is coming to an end and what better way to end it than with a playa day? Before the fun started, we woke up at 7:15 am to head over to La Bruja and enjoy a nice grilled cheese sandwich and fruit from our wonderful cook Angie. Today was filled with music, laughs, and pictures (shown) that were taken from the previous days on our journey in Panama.
At 9:00 am we left for the beach, which was an hour’s drive away. Arrival at the beach was at 10:00 am and after a short briefing from our lifeguards, it was time to swim in the waves and explore the beach. I personally enjoyed swimming through and riding waves, although I wish I had a surfboard with me. Lunchtime came around at 12:00pm but we had a surprise for one of our glimpsers, as their birthday is the day we leave. We sang happy birthday and enjoyed snacks along with our lunch of chicken fingers, grilled chicken, grilled fish, or fish sticks. Beach fun continued until 3:00 pm when we hopped on the bus back to Hotel Esperanza, where we showered and packed to get ready for our trip back to Panama City tomorrow.
We´re having a nightly meeting to wrap up our experiences of these past 12 days. Unlikely friends were made along the way. We laughed, cried, hugged, and high-fived!
