Eliza Pesuit

Founding CEO

Eliza helped launch Global Glimpse 15 years ago at the age of 23. The daughter of a Serbian Orthodox father from rural Ohio and a Russian Jewish mother from Boston, Eliza became comfortable with differences early on. She is passionate about connecting young people from different backgrounds through shared experience, and she believes deeply in the importance of supporting young people from all backgrounds to have access to educational opportunities that expand their perspective and broaden their horizons.

Under her leadership, Global Glimpse has grown from serving 85 students its first year to serving over 9,000 students across 100 public high schools and providing $17M in travel scholarships. Eliza is a visionary leader who has built transformative partnerships at the intersection of travel and education and she was honored as a Top Woman in Travel & Hospitality in 2024. She was named one of 30 Nonprofit Leaders Who Will Impact the World by Causeartist and she is also a Leader in Residence with the Edwin Gould Foundation in New York.

Eliza is deeply committed to the community of students, families, educators, staff, and partners that make Global Glimpse’s work possible. She is bilingual in Spanish and English and has lived and worked across the US and Latin America. She now lives in Springfield, MA with her husband, young daughter, and teenage stepson. When not at work, you can find Eliza scheming on her next adventure, playing outside, trying new recipes, watercolor painting, and cheering her stepson on at high school basketball games.
