Day 11: Free Day

Hi everyone,

It’s Priscilla and Cristal, the Leaders of the Day! Today is Free Fay. We started the day by splitting up into 2 groups to make the best of the day. There were 10 people in each group and we explored Las Tablas. We all visited the same places but in a different order. Some stores we went to were supermarkets, skate shops, dollar stores, bakeries, McDonald’s, and clothing stores. Mcdonald’s was a huge hit with everyone-  it was 2 stories high with a playground on the top floor. The bakery we visited was the same exact bakery that we had toured, Paulina’s Bakery. It was cool to go back to and get more treats. In Cristal’s group, Ruby met a sweet lady in Carolina’s bakery named Nelly. Today was a special day for Nelly – her 83rd birthday! Sadly Nelly was going to spend her birthday alone. As a group, we kept her company and sang her Happy Birthday. Nix also took pictures of Nelly’s special day, which made her feel even more special. Many of us had so much fun getting souvenirs and making new memories with each other. As Leaders of the Day, we both made sure everyone was safe and that we made it back on time for lunch and dinner at the hotel. When we returned to the hotel, many people enjoyed the pool! Today was an adventurous experience that we will take back home with us.
