Day 10: CAP Day 1 (No. 7)

We started our Community Action Project (CAP) with a BANG! We woke the troops up at 7 in the morning, then breakfast rolled around at 8 which was delicioso. Pancakes were a hit as usual, with a side of eggs. Today we left the crib mad early at 8:40!!!!!. This time there was something new on our jungle bus. There were pickaxes and shovels. Why you may ask? Because we were putting work in today, baby!!!. Today teamwork was a huge priority so as LDDs of the day leadership helped everyone get along together to complete our task today with a smile.

When we arrived to the job site we met 4 workers, who helped guide us through the process of making cement. Shout out to them for that! The first step was collecting sand, gravel, and cement bags. Combining the 3 makes cement which we put down in multiple rooms. We completed this process by forming a beautiful line and passing down buckets of cement to pour out into those rooms. BUCKETSS!!!!(if you know you know). We were able to put a fun twist on the bucket line by calling out fast food orders. But those buckets wouldn’t be filled without our fabulous mixers. The mixing crew outside was led by a wonderful Unc named Jackson, shout out him

After so much work we headed back home to eat a short lunch but back to work it was. We switched up people in each group so everyone was involved. After a couple of hours of work, we finished and that instantly put a smile on everyone’s face. During a break, we got to eat coconut fresh from the nearby trees. Then after a hard day at work, we headed home. EVERYONE’S CLOTHES WAS MAD DIRTY, FAM. Like we might have to leave them behind. Anyway, we all got showered up and then had a talk about the day. Then dinner was very good, and finally, we had our meeting to wrap things up.
