Ben is proud to be born and raised in the Bay Area, CA, and attributes his commitment to equity and justice to the vast diversity of life experiences he was exposed to growing up. His own experience of feeling that he was different from his peers during his formative years helped him to develop a passion for supporting young people to find their inner strength, expand their perspective, and realize their potential. Ben was the third full-time employee at Global Glimpse and has helped the organization grow to serving over 9,000 students and providing $15M in travel scholarships. Ben has over 15 years of leadership experience in training and facilitation, global program and curriculum design, risk management, people operations, fundraising, branding, marketing, and storytelling. He is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is an award-winning experiential educator. When not at work, you can find Ben having spontaneous dance parties with his young daughter and son, listening to live music with friends and family, playing in the ocean, and traveling vicariously through the amazing students in Global Glimpse programs.
