ABOUT THE NEW YORK RECRUITMENT MANAGER ROLE:
As the New York Recruitment Manager, you have a highly dynamic role and serve as a key member of the Recruitment Team – the team that is the face of Global Glimpse to our most important stakeholders. You hold relationships with our students, families, educators, partner schools, and organizations in New York City and the broader tristate area. In addition to growing your regional portfolio and hitting student recruitment and revenue goals, you also work to hit organization demographic targets and maintain high-quality programming. You will report to the Chief Growth & Strategy Officer.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPACT:
Regional Partnership Management
- Manage a portfolio of schools and youth serving organizations with the goal of hitting recruitment metrics and retaining strong partnerships through relationship building, communication, and information sessions
- Maintain school and organizational partners in New York City and the broader Tri-State area with the aim of deepening partnerships and increasing enrollment; during peak recruitment season, this means approximately 2-3 in-person and/or virtual school meetings per week plus additional phone calls and text conversations
- Manage stakeholder communication and experience within your portfolio, including supporting students and GG Leaders during travel
- Execute on pre and post trip programs (including Alumni Ambassador program) ensuring regional stakeholders are prepared for travel by supporting student travel logistics leading up to, during, and after travel
- Work closely with the Student Trips Team to update and align pre/post trip curriculum with trip curriculum
- Deliver on annual program quality metrics (volunteer educator retention rate, student pre-trip preparation, etc.)
- Support with curriculum design and material creation
- Serve as a member of 24/7 incident response team during student trips which could include supporting field staff, calling students and families, and supporting group travel
Student Recruitment & Lead Management
- Represent Global Glimpse strategically at recruitment events and other student-facing events at schools in the region
- Maintain a visit calendar and track student interactions and recruitment success at each event; turn over content ideas (student/school/community profiles, events, etc) to the marketing team
- Follow up with and nurture high-potential leads in coordination with the marketing team
- Organize and participate in on-campus and virtual promotional efforts and applicant nurturing, including presenting info sessions and more
Revenue Generation & Regional Budget/Demographic Ownership
- Work with the Chief Growth & Strategy Officer to set regional annual revenue targets while keeping Global Glimpse the premier organization for diverse student groups
- Actively work to close gap in any regional demographic shortcomings
- Ensure diversity of student groups whenever possible
- Manage and stay within the regional expense budget
- Manage travel expenses according to policy; reconcile expenses accurately and in a timely manner
- Coordinate travel logistics in a timely and cost-effective manner, including airfare, lodging, and ground transportationWork with Director of Recruitment to set regional annual targets related to traveler/stakeholder demographics with the aim of keeping Global Glimpse the premier organization for diverse student groups
- Actively work to close gap in any regional demographic shortcomings
- Ensure diversity of student groups whenever possible
Business Development
- Actively seek new partnerships with the aim of growing regional portfolios and increasing the average student fee
- Strategize with other recruiters and the Chief Strategy & Growth Officer to plan and implement an annual regional strategy for achieving goals
- Develop school-specific strategies to meet school needs and grow enrollments
Cross-Team & Administrative Duties
- Communicate with the marketing team to ensure proper support to students in your region, creating monthly content highlighting any our work on the ground
- Provide input on marketing strategies and materials for programs and conduct market research as necessary
- Respond thoroughly and in a timely manner to all questions, issues, and needs of teachers, parents, and colleagues
- With the rest of the stakeholder-facing recruitment team, gather content for organizational marketing and staff inspiration
- Represent Global Glimpse honestly, accurately, and in the spirit of its values
SUCCESS TARGETS (KPIs)
- Revenue growth from key accounts that exceeds annual target
- Increase in average cohort size
- Stable NPS of key accounts
- Increase efficiency of recruitment process execution
- Brand representation regularly, and increased at key events
- Engagement of Alumni Ambassadors at key accounts.
WHO WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE

- Prior Experience
- 3+ years of experience with recruitment and/or B2B sales, with a preference for experience in the education or international travel space
- Proven experience with program and partner management
- Experience in relationship-building or sales roles, with a track record of meeting or exceeding enrollment or revenue targets
- Youth development and/or education experience preferred
- International study, intern, volunteer, work, or travel experience preferred
- Work Demands
- Willing to work periodic weekend or evening hours during the school year
- Flexibility to support emergency response efforts, including some evening and weekend availability during the summer months (June through mid-August) when students are on trips
- Valid driver’s license/access to public transportation and ability to travel frequently in the assigned region
- Skills aligned to critical competencies:
- Skilled relationship builder and communicator with strong public speaking ability
- Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities at once
- Strong analytical skills / spreadsheet or dashboard wizardry.
- Ability to be business savvy and stay mission-driven
- Capable of effectively strategizing, anticipating needs, and taking initiative without daily supervision
- Proficiency in Google Suite and comfort with CRM and other recruitment technology platforms
- Spanish fluency or proficiency preferred
- Sense of humor and a growth mindset
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Graduate degree is encouraged, especially if it is related to the field (non-profit management, international education etc.)
POSITION LOGISTICS
- Location: Remote with preference for someone either based in the tristate area or experience with schools in the tristate area
- Travel Expectations: 2-5 times a year annually for team retreats and/or other program events; additional travel if based outside of the tri-state area.
- Compensation: Starting Salary range: $77,000-$83,000
