ABOUT THE CHIEF GROWTH & STRATEGY OFFICER ROLE
The Chief Growth & Strategy Officer (CGSO) is a senior executive responsible for designing, executing, and scaling Global Glimpse’s full revenue engine. This includes earned revenue, recruitment strategy, partnerships, and go-to-market strategy across programs and new lines of business. The CGSO is accountable for revenue growth, diversification, and predictability, while protecting mission alignment and access.
This role oversees recruitment and marketing, and partners closely with the CEO on development, partnerships, and fundraising to ensure revenue strategy is integrated, disciplined, and scalable.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPACT:
Drive revenue strategy and leadership across the organization:
- Own and lead Global Glimpse’s integrated revenue strategy with a strong initial focus on optimizing and growing earned revenue
- Serve as a thought partner on long-term vision and strategic plan and co-design the multi-year roadmap for strategic growth
- Set the executive team agenda and drive internal strategy contributing to a strong and high-performance culture.
- Set annual and multi-year revenue targets aligned with strategy in partnership with the CEO, and ensure clear accountability for results
- Build systems, dashboards, and forecasting tools to drive visibility, predictability, and performance
- Balance growth with mission, ensuring pricing and recruitment strategies preserve access and equity
Lead earned revenue strategy and recruitment teams:
- Own the P&L for earned revenue and ensure alignment with the overall organizational P&L, owned by the CEO
- Oversee all students, teachers, and school and partner recruitment strategy and execution across Global Glimpse programs
- Lead B2B partnerships with school, district, institutional, and government partners. to drive long-term enrollment
- Align vision with strategy to ensure the recruitment pipeline aligns with program capacity and experience design.
- Oversee all alumni engagement tied to recruitment, marketing, and fundraising
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and organizational performance to guide product evolution and operational improvements.
- Optimize pricing models, enrollment targets, and recruitment channels to increase efficiency and net revenue
- Launch, test, and evaluate new recruitment strategies and revenue-generating products and services aligned with Global Glimpse’s brand and impact model that improve conversion, retention, and yield
- Lead and manage the recruitment team, setting clear targets, processes, and performance standards
- Ensure recruitment practices center on access and reach students from all backgrounds
- Build business cases, pricing, and go-to-market plans for new offerings
- Partner on impact metrics to inform the next stage of growth strategy. Use data to drive recruitment, pricing, and product decisions. Work in partnership with your manager to select 1-3 long-term independent projects to work on. These will be determined by the needs of Global Glimpse at the time of the internship as well as the professional interests of the intern. Examples could include:
- Supporting our student Summer Postcard project
- Developing an End-of-Year Donor Stewardship plan
- Build a database of past Global Glimpse Leaders so that we can reconnect them to our Program
- Design materials and build out templates for student recruitment and our International Programs team to more effectively communicate information and share appreciation with partners on the ground
- Develop and manage sending Teacher Appreciation packages at the end of the summer
- Conducting finalist interviews for Global Glimpse full-time staff positions
Partner with the CEO to elevate the fundraising and development portfolio, ensuring strong stewardship and increasing YOY revenue:
- Collaborate closely with the CEO to sustain and grow existing corporate, foundation, and high-net-worth donor partnerships and source new strategic funders
- Partner with the CEO and VP of development to strengthen proposal development, sponsorship packaging, and donor stewardship systems
- Align fundraising strategy and key fundraising messaging and campaigns with recruitment priorities, milestones, and growth plans
- Engage the Board of Directors and Board of Champions in revenue generation and strategic relationship development
Marketing and sales strategy:
- Elevate Global Glimpse’s marketing and sales strategy to support recruitment, partnerships, and fundraising
- Ensure clear positioning, messaging, and value propositions across audiences
- Oversee marketing efforts that drive lead generation, brand visibility, and partner acquisition
- Represent the organization in strategic growth conversations
- Provide strategic oversight for crisis communications and risk-informed marketing
- Support the emergency response team and lead high-level response across the organization in the event of an emergency
- Align storytelling, campaigns, and outreach with revenue goals and organizational strategy
Organizational leadership, management, and representation:
- Serve as a key internal leader shaping culture, performance, execution, and growth mindset across the organization
- Serve as an external ambassador for Global Glimpse with strategic partners, funders, and cross-sector executive leaders
- Build strategic relationships that advance revenue, visibility, and long-term sustainability
- Support scenario planning, risk management, and diversification efforts
- Help position Global Glimpse for scale, resilience, and long-term impact
WHO WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE
- Senior revenue, development, or growth leadership experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization, ideally in the $10–$20M+ range
- Demonstrated success growing earned revenue in an educational setting
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into execution
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex revenue portfolios
- Data-driven, systems-oriented, and comfortable with financial modeling and forecasting
- Deep alignment with Global Glimpse’s mission and commitment to access
- Confident external presence with strong relationship-building skills
- Collaborative, accountable, and comfortable operating as a true partner to the CEO
POSITION LOGISTICS
- Location: Remote
- Travel Expectations: Monthly travel within the US, semi-annual international trips
- Compensation: $190,000 – $225,000
