REALITY CHALLENGES
Experience life in another world...   The eye opening opportunity to live side--side with a rural villager for a day lets students experience the struggles and histories of the Nicaraguan people. In turn they gain a fresh perspective on their own lives.

SERVICE
Share your skills and make people smile....Volunteer to tutor enthusiastic young Nicaraguans in English and in the process make meaningful friendships across national, cultural, and language boundaries.

SPEAKERS
Listen to the life story of a revolutionary general, the mayor, or an X Central American gang leader...Intimate talks with community leaders, politicians, and businessmen let students build incredible connections and provide direct insight into the lives of local people.

ADVENTURE DAYS
Visit fantastic waterfalls, beaches, mountains, markets, cathedrals, tropical fruit farms, festivals and fairs bring a world of fun, excitement, and adventure to our programs.

FIELD TRIPS
Pick mangos off the tree, learn how to harvest and process coffee, cook meals over an open fire, and plan relays and games for a hundred children at a local orphanage...Hands on field trips give students the opportunity to get their hands dirty and learn in a very hands on manner.

REFLECTION SESSIONS
Build deep connections by sharing experiences with people you never would have met at home....During candle lit reflection sessions in the evening, small student groups ponder the day’s events and share feelings and impressions. The invaluable lessons they learn together build deep and lasting friendships.

SEMINARS
Learn about culture, business, politics, the environment, and human rights.... Morning seminars led by US credentialed teachers help students discuss and debate important topics related to the day’s activities. Students learn critical facts to get the most out of every experience.
