Global Glimpse was founded on the premise that a globally educated population will individually and collectively use the resources of their country to transform the lives of people around the world. In particular, the US population, the most influential economic, social, military and political force in today’s world, fundamentally lacks an understanding of the world and its complex interdependencies. The status quo has done much irreversible damage and without a change, our actions will lead to a long term decline of the US and significant damage to the rest of the world. Global Glimpse is a grassroots program that can make a difference by providing our future leaders with a first-hand global education abroad to open their eyes to the world’s interdependencies and problems.

Global Glimpse directly impacts the lives of our participants, many of whom have never left their own neighborhoods, let alone the United States. Global Glimpse finds future leaders of this country from all socio-economic backgrounds and transforms them into responsible global citizens who think, act and behave in a global context. Many of our participants come from schools and communities that do not have the resources to develop responsible leadership and community service, let alone provide a global education. Global Glimpse targets the emerging leaders from within these communities which cumulatively represent the political and economic backbone of this country. Our program involves 6 months of after-school leadership and global education training cumulating in a 21 day life-changing educational trip to a developing nation. Without our program, the future leaders of these communities will grow up lacking global perspective in their decisions and actions.
