Directors and Advisors

Usman Nabi, Board Director
Mr. Nabi, who grew up between South Asia and the US, is passionate about inspiring international service in the next generation of leaders. As a Board member Mr. Nabi drives Global Glimpse’s international service initiatives ensuring that our service learning is socially and environmentally responsible, while driven by local needs. Mr. Nabi is a Director at H Partners, a NYC based investment firm. Mr. Nabi holds an MBA from Stanford Business School, an AB from Harvard University and is an alumnus of Phillips Exeter Academy.

Karla Martin, Board Director
Mrs. Martin, the daughter of a Michigan school superintendent, believes that all youth need an education beyond the classroom. As a Board member, she drives Global Glimpse’s diversity initiatives. Mrs. Martin, a Partner at Booz & Company, has extensive experience working with non-profit and mission driven organizations. Mrs. Martin was previously a senior litigation associate and holds a JD with honors from Harvard Law School and an AB from Harvard University.

Doug Hardman, Board Director
Mr. Hardman, credits his Ohio roots with his passion for youth education. As a Board member Mr. Hardman champions critical reasoning and academic rigor. He is a senior partner at Booz & Company and leads their global operations practice. In addition, he serves on the Board of Trustees of Hiram College. Mr. Hardman holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate Business School and a BA in mathematics and economics from Hiram College.

Ananda Martin, Board Director
Mrs. Martin is an international lawyer for Perkins and Coie and lives in Beijing. As a Board member Ms. Martin helps Global Glimpse create high level relationships overseas so that our students meet the best and brightest. She serves on the Women’s Leadership Committee of the Scholar Rescue and is a member of the National Committee on US-China Relations. Ms. Martin, a Fulbright fellow, holds a JD from Harvard Law School, an MA in East Asian Studies at Columbia University, and a BA from Washington University.

Thomas Kadelbach, Education Advisor
Thomas Kadelbach is the Principal at Lionel Wilson College Preparatory Academy. He has been an educator for more than 20 years, consulted in Madrid, Spain, led the education technology movement in LA, and founded the Oracle Academy, a global program to teach programming and business skills to high school students. As an education advisor, Principal Kadelbach is focused on ensuring that life and travel experiences effectively translate into academic and character development.

Vito Chiala, Education Advisor
Vito Chiala is the Principal of Overfelt High School. During his 12 years in education, Principal Chiala has formed strong partnerships with educational, political, professional and community organizations in an effort to increase the opportunity and academic achievement of urban and minority students. As an education advisor, Principal Chiala is focused on ensuring that Global Glimpse’s academic curriculum brings out the best in all of its diverse participants.
